    JS550 e-box rebuild

This is the second time I've had to rebuild the ebox in my '87 JS550. Water intrusion ruined the starter solenoid after the first rebuild (My fault ).

I forgot to put two of the twelve washers/grommets on the outside of the terminals of the solenoid.

If anyone has advice on rebuilding and sealing the unit so I don't have to take it off again, appreciate it in advance.

Here's the beautiful mess of wires I've got connected, ready for installation after I get the last two washers in the mail.

Well, it certainly looks clean inside compared to some I've seen. Installing all of the parts would help. Is the case gasket in good shape? I'd put a little grease on sealing surfaces. It might help seal, and will make it easier to disassemble in the future.

Yes the gasket is in pretty good shape. I replaced last time I took it apart. Thanks!
