Cheap borescope?
I was thinking how nice it would be to have a borescope to peek into the cylinders of my toys at times, check pistonwash. So I looked around online and I only found borescopes that were over $1000. For some reason I had thought I might be able to find something for less ... a lot less. Anybody have any experience with using something less expensive to peek down the spark plug holes?

Thats a pretty expensive gadget. You would think that one of those fiberoptic spy scope things would almost work the same.

Thanks Shawn, that is a nice setup and more reasonable, altho still more than I would like to spend ... I would not use it very often.
Dime, kinda what I thought too ... was hoping to find something really cheap to just let me peek into the cylinders ... oh well, not sure I will find something as cheap as I hoped. Dreamin I guess, oh well ...

Try typing in "spy scope" or things of that nature on ebay. You may find something a lot cheaper. It may not work as good but since you're not going to use it often it may be the a good compromise.
