Slowly but surely I’m getting some done. Hope to actually get the speakers mounted tomorrow but I did get the amp mounted and as much wiring done as I can without the speakers mounted, also installed the usb sync and aux port. Just waiting on the factory audio harness to come in so I don’t have to cut anything and it will function with the key like stock, but I may put an override so I don’t even have to have the key on Click image for larger version.

nice write up! looking great! really curious how your sound system will turn out.

i would go with the red vinyl for reg numbers. only because your tag is red. will look solid with out being to complex. but ether way would look nice.

That’s what I was thinking. I already had the blue cut so I put that on but thinking to have the orange/red done and put it over it so the blue will do a drop shadow. Speaker pods are supposed to be here today so hope to do that before work. Testing one speaker in a paint mixing cup it sounded pretty good so it looks promising.

So I’m having a Dilema one where to mount these damn things. Down low with the shape of them my foot can still easily fit and even slide under them and allows me to mount a controller on the panel where the factory audio goes. If I mount it in the hole where the audio would go then I can have them almost completely out of sight except for a part where the ergolock panel would block the speaker. Decisions decisions. Thoughts? Either way they did not stick above the footwell so not in sight from the front or side.

Played a little before work. Not 100% how id like it. But it will work. Going to use the bottom half of the filler panel and heat it and the side panel to shape them and roll the edges towards the speaker so the sound will project. And will be 95% covered. Had to heat the speaker pod and shape it.”, but that’s the nice thing about plastic.

I’ll be happy when I get off night shift this week and can finish this up. Today’s progress figured out the final figment and tested the sound with only 1 speaker. And damn it sounds good, clean, and loud. That’s what 75 watts RMS each will do, I also used some poly fill in the enclosures. Just need to use the heat gun some more and clean the plastics up and it’s done

Alright I’m 95% done and took a video. Going to go pick up the factory audio harness so it’ll be plug and play with no cutting and I think I’m going to take the filler panels and fiberglass and smooth them so I can paint them.

Well I got out and about this morning. But unfortunately conyers is shut down. So unless they open later, no ski progress today.
