    2018 wake pro 230 enhancements

So it was suggested by wakepirate I should do a build thread on my new ski. Since there are only a few 2018s out there already, and even fewer wake pro models I thought why not. Short history on me though, been a long time follower of the hulk and upon purchasing the new ski I decided to become a member as Iíve always found helpful information on here and for the most part less bs and animosity than most forums. Coming from 1000 sport bikes and 2 previous hayabusas I do have a need for power so the need for a supercharged ski. Iíll cover things as I go and add plenty off pictures as Iím all about the details and user friendly functionality. The goal is to have a mechanically stock ski that is just easy to enjoy, from trailer upgrades, audio system, cosmetics, and most importantly when Riva begins playing with tunes to get atleast 260 hp being the new 230s use the 230/260 supercharger from the previous year and the 2016-3018 300 injectors. So for pictures here are a couple of the ski as it sits being it only has 1 hour on it, Iíll post up my current progress this evening and as the days pass and parts come in the mail.

Well first things first I added vinyl to the to the nose panel below the hood; I used gloss black in the middle and carbon fiber on the outside edges to simulate the textured plastic on the hood. Used 3m fine line cutting tape under both to make a clean cut line. Also covered 90% of the mirrors as it looked like ears to me all orange. Sorry it was cold and at the time I wasn’t planning on posting anything.

The next night my wedges came in so they were easy enough. Now let me state since I have started posting I’ll be thorough with pictures since I enjoy threads with plenty of pictures myself. It was easy with the colder weather, I just used the opposite side and flipped over as a template/guide to cut the floor padding. Then put the correct side where it went and used the holes as a template for drilling a pilot hole. Then removed the wedges and applied silicone to the holes and attached everything for the final time.

Not really an improvement but a repair. So when I got my ski it was in the crate so I had to check out the coloring thru the side and I liked it. Upon taking delivery I didn’t look over it too well because it was dark. Well needless to say that evening in the garage I noticed the only issue I forsea with the new models and seems Seadoo would have taken care of their seat problems by now.Click image for larger version.

Yea I was going to go with the rxt with audio, but I was curious and asked to look in the crate, when I seen the light hit it I said time to spend a little more money.

Nothing too special tonight, just some more vinyl work but mixed on what color for the registration numbers.

Alright still waiting on my amp to get here and had some time before work tonight, which I’m not happy about. Keep in mind I live in Athens Ga for the football fans out there you know the problem. So I worked on the trailer and added secondary bunks, I wanted to strengthen my bunks but still wanted them to contour to the hull. So I added another pair on the next level above the chines on the hull. I also used this S a way to improve tie downs in the rear so I could go around the trim tabs and not have pressure on them. So I forgot I did do a tiny bit of audio, got the head unit mounted today. Clears the storage bin and the shock just barely. But it’s out of the way and I will run the wires up and keep the compartment waterproof. Click image for larger version.

Well I end up not going to work tonight. And after the game I decided to finish up my goals with the trailer. Added the boat buckled and then plan worked out perfect. Click image for larger version.
