    2011 kawasaki 300x flushing ports.

i bought a new to me 2011 kawasaki 300x. the fushing ports were open with no caps. well me being me i ASSumed they needed caps in them and almost sunk the ski because the water hose on top of exaust manifold that runs back to the flusher busted and filled ski in 3 or 4 minutes. so safe to say they go uncapped? or do i have a issue. also i bought this with 0 info on previous maintenence and 85 hours. exaust filter looks to been recently replaced. what else do i need to do to make sure this ski is dependable and ride ready?

Absolutly meant to be un-capped! This is how the water gets out of your engine.

Install some wuick disconnect water/hose fittings on the rear where the fitgings are with some plumbers tape.....get the plastic ones. They come with a fitting that snaps on for flushing the motor.....
    No more problems!

I would take the time to read the Owners Manual. Items like this are addressed! JB
