Turbo 4 Tec?
Anyone ever wonder how one of these engines would respond to a nice size turbo like a Garett GT28R? With 8,000+ rpms and a 4 valve per cylinder head this might be worth a try. I know the whole issue with turbo lag and all but then i romp my ski i see 6,000 rpms instantly anyway and thats plenty to turn a turbo.

If you went with a turbo, then the BOV would def be the ticket. BOV`s will keep the turbo spooled up when on and off the throttle momentarily...PR...

This is true and so far i haven't heard of anyone running a turbo but i think with the adjustability a turbo offers there is some potential there.

11: I`ve seen twin turbo`s feed a BDS blower in a massive big block, but I hear ya, I think the 4-tec would be 2 small with both power adders and not worth the time/tuning for what might or might not work...PR...

VW has a car coming out soon with a turbo feeding the supercharger.
its "twincharged" or something like that.
somehow they are suppost to help maintain a steady boost with no lag and less resistance on the motor. it take a lotta hp's from your motor just to turn the supercharger. and when not in boost your still robbing hp's from your motor because it still takes pony to spin it. kinda like when you turn on your ac in your car the motor draws down from the resistance. your 4 tec chargers pull even harder on the motor then a ac. IMO
id be concerned with hull temps. I think a turbo unit puts off a lot of ambient heat that could bring up hull temps. Im no expert, but maybe the inhouse turbo guru could awnser these quistions.

I'm talkin about a small, ball bearing, quick spooling turbo, without the supercharger. I think if i had the money i would give it a try.
