    2019 Polytec GTR 230 745lb?

It's been expected for some time that the entire GTI range will transition to polytec but so far SeaDoo limited polytec to the 90hp skis. This year they gave the 1500 engine a polytec for the first time but completely hid that fact in all their press info. The 2018 Wake 155 is polytec and now weighs 718 lbs. Based on most predictions, they will probably transition the entire GTI line-up to poytec next year. The big question is if they will transition the GTR since it has the GTI hull. With polytec hull, I would assume a GTR 230 would weigh about 745 lbs. The 230 engine boats are about 37 lbs heavier than 155 everything else staying the same (GTX 155 vs GTX 230) and the GTR 230 is about 10lbs lighter than Wake 230. So figure the Wake 155 is 718 lbs. add 37 lbs for the 230 engine and then subtract 10 lbs for the lack of equipment on the GTR vs. Wake equals 745 lbs.

Do you guys think that's likely / not likely? Seems like it would be a pretty fun ski at that weight.

I would be worried about the hull getting cracked just because of the increase in power causing the machine to hit down that much more.

Your predictions have pretty much come true.

I may be splitting hairs here but this applies to the 2020 gtr, not the 2019. And the engine going into the 2020 gtr is the ace 1630, not the 1500 like you said. That went into the previous year gtr.

Yes, you are right, but the Polytec hull finally shows up on a GTR
