Are all STX 15f pump parts inter-changeable?

Are all STX 15f pump parts inter-changeable or have they changed over the years? I would like to replace the vein section and nozzle on my 2004 15f and I'm having trouble finding specific info.....I know the part number for the whole pump assembly changes, with the last number being the year it was made but I'm wondering if I can use any 15f pump for replacement parts? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Never heard that. There are lots of parts that carry the same number for years.

You can answer your own question by consulting one of the online parts catalogs and getting the complete 9-digit part number. You can then take that number and do a search to see which models that particular part was used on.

Hmmm yup that's because I'm wrong. I just re-looked at the part numbers and the pump assembly I want to use is, I believe, from a 2007 and the part number is JT1500A7f and my 2004 part number is JT1500A1 or A2. For some reason I thought it was A4, matching the year. Sorry about that...I know it's frustrating trying to help people that give you the wrong information.

What's wrong with your pump? If it's a warped wear ring, try replacing just the sleeve. I bought one on ebay for $69... easy job and works great. Plus, I used sealant behind the sleeve... maybe that will slow down the salt build-up.

The vein section and the nozzle are pretty pitted up from its time spent in the salt water (previous owner ) so I'd like to replace them. Otherwise the pump is in good shape but while it's apart I will go through the hole thing and replace as I go.

The JT1500A1 is the actual Kawasaki model designation. Here's some info on the pump vane for you. If it doesn't show the cross reference, click on the related fitment tab on the right. Partzilla just changed their whole website. Was much easier to navigate before.

The current 2007 part number for the housing is 59496-0004

The current 2004 part number for the housing is 59496-0003

The exact difference, I don't know without having both housings side by side to measure, but the 2007 part accepts the discharge side bearing to be in the housing. '07 was first year for that shaft setup. The 2004 (thru 2006) is in the nose cone, from what I see in the parts breakdown.

Looking at the service manual, looks like the '07 can take either shaft / bearing configuration with the correct nose cone.

Even a 12F pump will interchange. There are many for sale out there.

The only pumps that were different were the newer spec ones, which correct me if I'm wrong was 2012+. Had the extra bearing and the nut on the end. But the pump itself, if replacing it as a whole was the same.
