If you dont grease a wheel bearing, the bearing seizes and wheel falls off. What's the difference? Same logic

I get what you're saying, in fact I got it the first time you said it.....for sure in a perfect world a a 100% reliable, maintenance free solution would be great but whichever way you solve the problem there is going to be some compromise, be it Sea doo with their carbon seal or Yamaha with their bearings or even the old ship builders with their box of rope greased and hammered in they all require some form of maintenance. I don't think sea doo do themselves any favors sticking with three engine mountings as there is very little redundancy in their set up .

I can say I'm very impressed with my 18 RXT X300. Put 4hrs on it since Sunday and today. Ran 70mph on GPS across 1' chop 2up. Felt planted and most of all it was quite. No rattling hood like every Yamaha I've owned. With the X package seat, after riding I don't feel like I've been drawn and quartered.

BRP never stopped using fiberglass. The only thing changed is they eliminated gel coat and are using thermoformed abs colored plastic and acrylic film for the finish.
