    stx 15f vibration

I have a 09 stx 15f with 166 hours. This spring ran over some rocks and long story short got from the impeller back to rear rebuilt by a kawasaki dealer. Ran great for 8 hours this summer. Today out on the river ran great for about 30 minutes then like the motor slipped and then couldn't get more than 6 mph and about 6 grand rpm's without a massive vibration coming right behind me .

What gives? Going to talk to the dealer tomorrow. Bearing again?

    Thanks

    Roger

Look inside pump from rear with a flashlight and up through the intake grate...sounds like something stuck around the impeller

I swear I have had great jet ski since 09 , bought it brand new and this year I have sucked up more crap than ever before. Sure enough there is a 1/4 inch branch stuck on the impeller and it looks like a piece of plastic on the back end.

So it looks rather straight forward to drop the bottom plate to get inside to get the stick out. Am I correct? Get my Allen wrenches out...

I would try knocking the piece out with something either from the intake grate or from the rear pushing it forward. It could save a lot of time. Look at the rubber nosecone seal on the impeller to make sure its not damaged, if it is this will cause cavitation on takeoff.

Drop the intake grate and get a cheap pair of loooooooong needle nose pliers... With a lil bend to them

Thanks for all your help! Pulled out a wood twig about 4 inched long , about 1/4 inch in diameter with some really long needle nose pliers.
