Thread: Resistor mod?

    Resistor mod?

Hi was looking to do the resistor mod to my f12x. I was wondering if someone could show me how to install it between the two wires? I'm not quite understanding how to do it. I don't know if I need to tap the two wires or just put the resistor wires into the factory plug. Thank you in advance

Makes the ski think that the temperature is cold outside and advances the timing for more performance

Thanks Hurricane! I’m guessing that you should take care on a hot day with this mod? Or is the engine still well enough protected against detonation?

    Negative gost Ryder ...
That sensor the resistor is connected too has nothing to do with temperature .
Its a single bar map sensor that looks for boost pressure to activate/control the waste gate solenoid . by bleeding off access voltage it allows the turbo to build more boost giving you more rpm .
But if this is done on a stock ski expect issues at some point in hot weather . it Will limit boost down to 8psi (stock 12psi) if air intake temps get too hot, which they do with stock ic running 14+psi for longer stents (1-2min ).
Once intake temps go back down it will give you full boost again
