Great write-up as always... Thank you.

BTW, I chose this wrench as I think it's a little more suitable for this application.

What kind of socket did you use on the breaker bar that connects to the Shaft and the shaft tool?

    Thanks!

    Six point impact wrench socket.

I used 1/2 drive breaker bar but 3/4 would be better, if you have it available.

I have broken a 1/2 inch drive breaker bar in the past trying to remove a prop. 3/4 is definitely better if you have it. The R&D dual washer and generous amounts of anti seize make future prop removal a piece of cake

I used 3M 4200 Fast Cure sealant between transom plate and hull.

I think I also used a thin bead of 4200 around where the pump sections fit together.

Thanks for the write up K447.........just done my housing & impeller for the first time......great info.

All went according to plan.....I didn't mess about getting the impeller off......adapted the home made vice idea, used an electric heat gun to warm things up, slogging wrench & a 2 meter box section tube....popped off with very little effort!

Also worked great for torquing up to 330 Nm!
