Fuel mileage on stock intercooler vs type 14

Did you notice a difference on fuel economy?

    For good or for bad?

I know the ecu has to be reflashed again if I add a bigger intercooler.

I'm not sure if it's to add more fueling or to adjust timing or something else not related to more fueling.

I go on semi long cruises and don't want to sacrifice my fuel economy for a slight better acceleration.

I'm happy with my setup, but I think adding a larger intercooler would be the last thing to make it complete.

    I have a stage 2 from dean.

Most of the time fuel mileage increases with a tune...

Absolutely, don't plan on going on any more trips over 18-23 miles

I don't think you guys read the whole post. I already have a tune...

And what are you talking about trips over 23 miles. Lol. I'm sure even a fully modded ski gets more than 23 miles per tank. Please take time to actually read the question and your answers.

If you are already running a stage 2 fuel map and you only plan on adding the intercooler I suspect you will not notice any difference in fuel consumption. if you were running a stage 1 map then added intercooler and Stage 2 mapping that's a different scenario.

I personally have been running the fizzle intercooler and Stage 1 Plus mapping. My buddy has a totally stock GP we've done some long rides every time we fill up he uses between 1 and 3 gallons more than me. That being said he rides like it's his first day everywhere we go whereas I will cruise at around 38mph.

My next trip out will be on stage 2 mapping with custom rev limiter I suspect that we'll see a hit to my mileage

At cruising speed you will gain fuel mileage and at full speed you will lose some. It probably won't be noticeable since the throttle varies so often during each tank of gas.
