Seadoo Ergonomics SUCK!
I spent about 2-3 hours today.... ripping apart my steering column and modifying and tinkering. I have two different sized bars, different grips, three different throttles... i cannot for the life of me find a perfect solution with what I have. and what i would like is gonna require some fabricating. the stock plastic crap all around the bars will only fit with the bars at one angle.
I have a set of PPG bar extensions finger throttle kit and their modified stock piece to "make" the kit work.... their kit does not go together all that nicely and professionally in my opinion. going to require some epoxy and sanding and drilling and some matte black plastic paint to make it look stock with no gaping holes and weird angles.
i took a break for now... still brainstorming to see what i want to do.

part of the problem is... i spent 9 days sitting on a Kawi 15F at the boat show i worked at this weekend in NYC... guess i got too used to that finger throttle and the angle of the bars that i can't find a happy alternative with this RXT of mine

I think i'm gonna go with the UMI universal finger throttle and different grips for now since i'm dumpin so much money into the drivetrain.

I find the seat on the Kawi 15F way too low. It feels like your knees are dangling in the air with no way to grip the seat in tight turns. Having the reverse lever on the "wrong" side only adds to the weirdness. but I guess it's all up to what you are used to.

i definitely don't like the kawi seat... don't like the yami seats either... with a Doo you feel in control, sitting high, legs locked to the sides of the hull and seat... seating is perfect on the seadoos for my figure, but just trying to get the bars and finger throttle at the right angle for myself.
from soup to nuts, how much is UMI for the RXT?
