98 zxi 1100 cdkcv carb settings

Hey guys I'm looking for some help. Trying to help a friend eliminate an off idle bog to wot. I pulled his carbs and they look to be clean. I did some research and read to change pilot to a #50 and adjust low speed jet to 1/4 turn.

The zxi is bone stock. 165m and 35p

I'm familiar with seadoo mikuni setups but don't know anything about these kehein setups.

Just wanna get it running good. Any recommendations would help. Thanks in advance....

I go to a #45 with screw at 3/4-1 turn out. Don't forget to pull needle seats out and clean screens and fuel passages behind them.

Thank you! I will clean the screens and fuel passages.

To access the low speed screw I have to drill out the access cover to the low speed screw?

Yes, they are plugged from the factory. I use an 1/8" drill bit the run a lag screw into it and give it a twist and pull motion to pop it out.

Myself will the 50 pilots work?

I know you mentioned 45p and your settings which sounded fine to me. But my hot products source is out of the 45p only have 50p in stock. If you insist on the 45p I'll find some online.

    Thanks again

Theyll probably work i just dont know where your screw will be. If you have access to a small numbered drill set i can tell you which number to drill it out.

If somebody else is running that with success then it should work for you too.
