the SC 4-TEC XPL gets a PrecisionTurbo aluminum Intercooler
well i finally got the intercooler for the beast.
now i just gotta stuff it in there some way. im going to have to remove just about everything from the motor back to get it in there. then put it all back together again.
rr ecu in about 2-3 weeks. then some pump tweaking again.
ill post updates as i start to stuff and plum this thing in there.
slowly creeping up to my 80 MPH goal

its a Precision Turbo Liquid to Air Intercooler.
the model is pt750 retails for $600.
ive used them before on a blown bb 454cid with incredable results so i choose a smaller unit to use in the xpl.
price is reasonable and there built strong.

Yes, it looks very trick, but I don't see the two water lines to cool it?
I am guessing you will tap it for fittings?

does one water fitting HAVE to be the water inlet? or u can choose either to be the inlet? Do you want the bottom most fitting to be the inlet so that the intercooler fills up with water better? or it does not matter?
rapid.... what size air inlet/outlet does that have on it?

you can run water in and out at whatever side you want.
im going to run it from the the back and out the end with the airlets then straight to my open loop cooling and out the pissers.
the in out is 2.5 inch dia. but im going to plum it with 2.75 tubing and reducer at the ic (i had a few u bends and pipe leftover)
