If you want an easy blow off valve install use a racket strap. It works very well to compress the oring and the snap ring drops in easy. Nothing gets scratched up either.

Overall impression of the Riva kit and parts. Very high quality and excellent instructions. I had to do the valve springs with the ebay cheap tool. I welded some things on it to make it easier.

Jims ride plate gets up on plane fast and is hooked up full throttle from a stop. This is impressive as the stock FX Cruiser would not stay hooked up out of the gate.

I got the intake cam one tooth off. JesusG thanks for figuring that out. The exhaust sound is awesome. It turns lots of heads.

The IC bracket needs to be modified the IC and supercharger do not line up as well as they should. This will be a winter project. The blow off valve should use a small clamp too. The snap ring is does not match the quality of the product.

Having access to a tuner JesusG brings everything together. I used to do lots of 1/4 mile drag racing an tuners had to be constantly paid to get the most out of the setup.

I put some octane boost in it with 93 octane pump gas. Stage 3 9500 aggressive timing tune up.

WOW, great job and mph! Congrats. You need to post this build on the main page. FX's are no joke! How's the acceleration, AFR and boost at that mph? What did you use for fresh air to S/C?

It went 91 on first run. Its a handfull to just hold on. I have a AF guage and tach in the right mirror. The tto tach is a pos and did not work. The AF guage fogged up. I need to work on recording run. I was not concerned it had octane boost in it. I am using the riva intake no fresh air.

As for doing the retainers and cams. The retainers are a 2 person job. The cam should be too. It is difficult to see TDC and turn the prop nut. I got the intake cam one tooth off because I stopped right at TDC. TDC has some dwell and I needed to be further. When you have it right the crank, exhaust and intake cam go on very taught with the cams dots lined up.

If you know how crisp a stock ski runs you will know you have it right or wrong. The plugs were black after running for 30 seconds 3 times. Jesus said it was most likely it. Also, run the cams several times after you finish to make sure dots are lined up. Mine were off but with one person hard to tell.

Ok, yeah, I did a short block up build and set TDC before landing head. Head have had the springs and retainers done, so that was out the way. There is a SLIGHT hesitation on the low end, and bogs idle then bounces back when using R.I.D.E reverse from idle. Its no fun, as I am sure you know removing the chain tensioner while in the hull.
