    215 no boost

Had a failure on a supercharger on a 2006 rxp. I went through the entire machine including, changing the oil, pulling the timing chain cover, cleaning the screen for the oil pump, inspecting the oil pump, cleaning the intercooler, checking compression and purchasing another supercharger complete.

Put it all back together now it acts like it has a supercharger failure. No throttle response, won't turn over 6400.

Any suggestions on what I did wrong?

    Thanks,
    Jim

New or used charger ? Did you check slip prior to install?

How tight is the nut on the SCer impeller side...Sounds like the impeller could be spinning on the shaft.....

The impeller is tight. Rebuild is relatively fresh. (34 hours) I may take the supercharger off of my RXT and see if that isolates the issue.

I also ran it on my candoo to see if I had thrown any codes, (possibly left a electrical connector off when I was doing the re-install) But nothing there either. I may check that intake to make sure that is seated correctly. I did have to clean the intercooler and take that all down.

6400 RPM is the RPM the the engine will turn if the supercharger is failed completely.

My thoughts exactly. I think I am going to swap out this supercharger with another. Go from there. Just checking to see if there is anything else that I may of missed or if anyone knew of another issue I may have.

Sqeeze the hose going from the sc unit to the throttle body with your hand while running on the hose and give it a quick pull on the throttle to see if the hose expands. If nothing than you got a bad sc unit. Time to pull it and take a look. That is the oldest trick in the book. That trick will not tell you anything else but that it is producing some kind of boost. But it sounds like your 215 is now a 155.

YOu said slip was to spec,Which on a stock 215 charger it is.....Who checked the slip??/You or did the seller tell you it was set??

IF the seller told you this then yes you may have bad slip moment....IF you did it, and its at 100+ lbs then something else is wrong...Check the nuts on both ends of the charger to make sure they are tight..

I did double check the slip. The nuts are tight.

If I cleaned the intercooler would I need to set the throttle body?
