This is not good: GP1800/VXR hull cracking at bolts for intake grate
Anyone with a GP1800 or VXR (2015 or newer), if you are getting water in hull check this right away.
The pump shoe brackets are recessed in and only attached to outer hull.
Customer came in saying lots of water was coming in when riding ski, look what i found. One side was almost ripped out. If these brackets pull thru at wide open you will get thrown off the ski. This can be very dangerous.
I am taking the factory brackets out, build it up with fiber glass and epoxy resin from the inside nice and thick and then re-install the brackets on top of it.Last edited by K447; 06-17-2017 at 06:25 PM. Reason: Thread title, details
