Run a 300X without the supercharger

What happens if either on purpose (remove) or it breaks the supercharger belt is not functioning? Will a 300X run like a NA Ultra? Will no belt present hurt the engine?

Multi part question: I have read that some guys carry a spare belt...why its impossible to replace when on the water.
Why does the engine run like crap without the belt...when I cruise using no boost it seems to run OK. Wont the engine suck air in without the belt although maybe not high performance air.

Theres a huge restriction ontop of the intake if that blower is not turning, also when your riding with "no boost" there is boost happening. You should spend some time learning how an na engine and a forced induction engine work

    Hi.
i know this is an old thread, but thought I would say three day ago while going around isle of white U.K. My 300x died into limp mode we had 30 miles to go to get back to Lee on Solent.
ski would only do 7 mph we limped into bembridge. Acquired fuel which is another story. Set off home still only achieving 7mph, but found if you quickly kept pulling the throttle on and off I got the speed up to 35mph.
when back home, found I had shredded the supercharger belt waiting for a replacement and hoping no damage will have been done to my ski.
    regards to all
    Kevin.
