Ultra 150 First run of the season with new mods

So I got out for the first time yesterday after a long winter of tinkering on my 2000 ultra and Wow what a difference some of the mods have made!! I think the biggest difference was with the Jet Dynamics ride plate and Beach House sponsons combination...it's like a totally new ski! Now it rides like it's on rails, no porpoising whatsoever, even in the very choppy riding conditions, and it stays pointed straight when I come off a wave. I am VERY happy with the handling.Click image for larger version.

I had to do A LOT of cutting and grinding to get the ride plate to fit and I cut the sponson face plate down to match the shorter version since it gives me more mounting options now.
I also put on my shaved heads and my Skiworxs modified carbs which has given the ski a very noticeable increase in acceleration, but since the water was extremely choppy I wasn't able to get any good top speed numbers (I also modified my intake grate so it's set up for smooth water at the moment)
I also did my own stinger mod, but with all the at her crap I did its hard to say if it really made any difference.Click image for larger version.

Overall the ski has much snappier low end and mids and hopefully a little more on the top and has WAY better handling and control.
I'll post all my new numbers next time I get a chance to go out with the gps. Cheers!

You can see the quality difference of the shred vs the jet dynamics big time in these pictures

ID:	413520Well the pictures I posted were of the spots I ground down so that's why it looks so rough, but I did have to do hours worth of grinding, then checking, then grinding, and grinding to get it to fit. Then I had to grind and sand down where it met with the intake/hull so it wouldn't have a lip sticking down. Overall it took a while to get it right but it definitely made a huge difference in how well it rides without scrubbing off any speed. I would definitely recommend one for anyone who can't find/afford a shredmaster.

Ive always been curious of the Jet Dynamics plate, there was never any feedback because it was set in stone that the Shred was the ONLY plate to have for the Ultra. Oh and btw, the Shred requires grinding also. Cool deal im jealous, wish i had an Ultra again
