    Yamaha GP1800 bilge pump?

According to the Watercraft Journal, the GP1800 has a factory bilge pump.

As with all VX models, the GP1800 features a 18.5 gallon fuel cell, 24.6 gallons worth of storage (front stowage, glove box and a removable watertight bin beneath the rear seat), and an automatic bilge pump.
If so, where is it located in the GP1800?

Where would the water exit fitting be located?

The GP 1800 does not come with an electric bilge, it has the std. automatic bilge system which works via siphon from the jet unit just like all other skis. On my GP, I added a Rule 500 gph fully automatic pump (about $75), stuck it with silicone in the same spot where Yamaha places the exact same pump in the FX. I then added a nice anodised 3/4" thru hull fitting, 3/4" bilge hose and a on/off/on toggle switch near the battery with a 5amp fuse holder. Before you launch, lift the back seat, flip the switch to auto and the pump checks for the presence of water electronically every 2.5 minutes. Pump has very little draw in this mode.

Thanks for the reply and photo.

I am am leaning towards the Whale Smartsub or Johnson Ultima Bilge pumps. Both are electronic auto sensing bilge pumps, less parasitic power drain than the periodically pulsed Rule. Around 1000gph rated.

I have used Rule 500gph pumps on previous watercraft. The small Rule pumps are 'ok' but actual outlet water flow volume is less than I would like to have. If something has gone wrong and water is coming in, I want lots of bilge pump water going out.
