Kawasaki Safety Recall - FYI
I received the letter today for an additional Flame Arrester Install on my pair of '08 STX-15F. It appears this will effect 2003-2017 STX-12F, STX-15F, STX, Ultra LX models. So I am posting this for anyone who may have purchased a Kawasaki Jet Ski used that may not be aware or has not updated their records in the Owner Center at Kawasaki.com.

I got one too. I really do not want to take my machine to these clowns. I am going to call and see if I can just get the part and install it myself. They can write it up and submit to Kawi as being done without doing anything but paperwork.

thanks for posting it, I wasn't interested in the pricing of the new skis, so I blew right past that thread.
A recall..that's another story.....

So I should remove my R&D flame arrestor, then install the factory stuff, drag it to a dealer, have them install something I am going to take back out as soon as I get it back home, hmmm, I'll get right on that!

I wonder how much top end and acceleration this recall will remove from the machine? The long coarse 2.5 inch diameter metal filter goes in the rubber hose connecting the air box to the throttle body. Definitely will reduce air flow to the engine.

Has anyone has a spark out the exhaust issue? Did someone burn something down? I'll probably skip this.
