300 hours Not very many IMO
This Honda has just 300 hours and is not running. I think that is horrible IMO.

I think my RXP will run twice this much. LOL

So you pick one honda on ebay (that was obviously beat to shit by it's owner) and think that all of them run like that?
A jetski rental place runs all hondas down south and he has 800+ hours on each of his hondas........I'd be surprised to see an RXP hold up to rental riders for that long.

You'll never see a rental place w/ a fleet of RXP's- just as I'm sure the rentals you are referring to are not turbos.
I think Honda makes a good product, but lets be fair and compare apples to apples.
That being said- the reliability of the current Honda watercraft engine cannot really be compared fairly to the current SC SD (215) engine imo.
The engine that puts out less power will (should) always be more reliable- no? Vic

u can't compare a honda to an RXP... come onnnn. totally different leagues... is the honda turbo or not? if NOT, then compare it to seadoo's normally aspirated engine...
i seen 2002 NA 4-tecs with 3,500 hours... yes, 4 digit number

I'm sure not going to beat my $10,000 RXP to crap.I think if you take care of your ski it will take care of you.Compare how many rxp's or seadoo's are out there on the water compared to the Honda. There would be more broke down rxp's because there's alot more rxp's sold than honda.

Guys I am just saying I am very suprized as I thought even when they are beat to crap a 4tec of any sort would last longer than that. This is all I was saying.
I have seen Seadoo N/A's with 1000 hours and even a RXP at lake travis with 450 hours.
I was just very suprized, but I guess I have also sence seadoo's die in the first few hours.
STOP getting so pissy guys, Crap. I just posted that I was shocked a Honda had problems, as all my small engines are hondas and have no issue's and are about 6 years old. I absolutly Love honda, but it is to slow!
