    Difference between ski module 295100380 & 295100432??

Is the actual ski module that comes with PN:295100432 (2011-up) different from the one that comes with PN: 295100380 (2010) (discontinued)???? If anyone has either of these can you please post any numbering or markings on the module itself!!!!

I know that SeaDoo states they are for different years. But I have a feeling that the only difference is how you have to wire it up. Seadoo used a different fuse box in the 2010 and 2011 RXT-X. The rest of the electrical system should be similar/identical. My hope is that the module itself is the same and since my ski already has the Riva SCOM wired up, I should just be able to plug in the new module.

Either way, I have already ordered Ski Module PN:295100432 (2011-up) and plan on attempting to install it on my 2010 RXT-X.

I found this in another thread: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=248238

This is the list of parts that came with PN: 295100455 (Cruise and Ski Module kit). If the current actual module that comes with the 2011 and up ski module kit (PN: 295100432) is still PN:278002442 this would mean we can also still add cruise control to our skis!

Were you able to confirm the current ski module is not 278002442?

I just got the current ski module, which isn't supposed to work on a 2010 RXT-X 260. And what do ya know, I was right. It does work and it is also the exact module needed to add cruise control, all that is needed is to wire in a button to activate cruise mode. Kiss my %#$ SeaDoo!!!

    More to come tomorrow.

I wonder if they are not selling then anymore because they are stealing from a yamaha patent or something. But you can buy a new gtx with cruise. Very off

I think they just want people to buy the more expensive models. But like I said they still sell everything you need to add it, just not in a full kit anymore. The currently available ski module is the exact same one that came with the Cruise/Ski kit. You have to buy the ski module kit, the switch to activate it (which should be the same as the on off switch (some people said they stoped making this switch), the button (I think the red on/off button would work for this also, again if they no longer make it), and lastly you can either buy the cover with the hole already cut (or just cut out the hole in the existing cover, if its not available). From there you just need to wire the module into the fuse box. The procedure to do this will be different for the 2010 and 2011-UP models but it is the same thing as wiring in a SCOM module (Riva has instructions to do this for both versions). If you already have any modules installed, all you have to do is plug in the module. This will give you ski mode. If you want cruise, my theory, is you just need to wire the button into the back of the gauge cluster connector (Ports 7 and 10 for the 2010 models) but the service manuals cover how to replace the button and wire it up. Im hopping that should be all that I need to do. I just ordered all the additional parts needed and will update once I do the install and provide a detailed write up. When I placed the order through riva, it looked like all the parts were still available, but as some people seem to think SeaDoo no longer makes some of the parts, I will call riva tomorrow and double check the availability.

Part of me thinks that we don't even need the ski module to add cruise, we might just need to wire in the switch. I will find out for sure. But if anyone has ever seen an IBR ski that has Cruise but no ski mode then I am definitely right!

JOHN07EX what was the part number printed on the actual module that came with your kit. It will be on a sticker on the module itself.
