    Need help with riva open loop restrictor

    Need help does anyone know the water restrictor size for the riva open loop for the 215/260 Thanks!!

    8.6mm or around 3/8" (green restrictor)

    However, that was too small and needed to drill to a 1/2" hole (especially down south with warm water).

    I had to drill my green one to 1/2" as well (per Sanfish's response above).

    Color won't matter as it indicates the diameter - just make sure it's drilled out to 1/2 if your temps aren't good with the green one it comes with.

    For the record, a smaller hole will work and ski will operate at thermostat opening. However, the real difference is how a larger hole maintains a more linear temp curve throughout RPM range. The smaller hole will reach same thermostat temp rating but will spike higher temps after and sometimes during a run.

    Sorry, but haven't seen this brought up before and figure I would add to this in case someone uses the search function in future.

    Awww good info Sanifish. We run cold water 50f to 70f. So no problem. I do suffer heat soaking after 5 hard corners. Initial 8200 rpm runs not an issue.. 8650 rpm is making worse.
