    If you own a GP1800!!!!

I highly recommend that you replace the stock clamp holding the intercooler hose to the motor. It is a weak single tab clamp that will come off when you least need it to......

Pretty much, need to check all the Intercooled Yamahas. My FZR pushed the top off first, then the bottom. Check, tighten, or replace.

Its not just Yamaha...I'd check clamps/hoses on any new ski. Period. Some were slightly loose when I got my TX300.

This happened on my 2014 FX SVHO I thought I blew a clutch at first, but I fund the problem and fixed it while out at the island. Before I even rode my GP 1800 I went and tightened all hose clamps and yes they were not as tight as I would have liked them to be.
