Dean's Team Pump Wedge Install ?'s 2015 FX SVHO

Has anyone installed the pump wedge on a newer FX with RIDE? The wedge did not come with any instructions and should be pretty straight forward, but I have heard you have to adjust the cables to allow for wedge. Any help would be great!

Thats about exactly what you have to do.

*Thicker side goes towards the bottom

*adjust steering cable and both i did needed a very small adjustment to the reverse bucket cable (10mm wrench)

*i had to remove the 2 locater pins in the pump but they just pull straight out (had aquasport wedges so not 100% you need to do that with deans)

How did the FX go with the wedge? Love to be able lift the nose abit while cruzing. I find the ride so flat it gets annoying and of course wet in the wrong water. Ok full noise tho.

If you're asking me i think they ride just fine with that and some plate work. Definitely gets some lift and makes some great speed.

We ride almost exclusively lakes/rivers/delta so i cant speak about the ride in choppy ocean waters.

Thanks for the info. I just had it installed yesterday. I hope to get it in the water this week to test..

The locator pins just pull straight out??? Dang, I guess some basic instructions with the wedge plate would have been nice. I didn't think to see if they would pull out. I drilled matching holes in the wedge plate instead....Oh well. It worked but was unnecessary.
