    Driveshaft tool measurements??

    Hi Guys,

Can anybody please help with some basic measurements ?? I can't order and wait for the part as I urgently need it, so I'm going to quickly make my own...

Please if anyone is willing to measure for me...

    Cool...

Above is FAR superior tool to remove and replace the c clip and is hands free once tightened up. That contraption you want to use requires you to hold the tool with one hand, which is a PITA and the other hand to remove and replace the c clip. It is not as easy as it sounds.

If it's just a one time deal you can do it with couple pieces of wood

I have a piece of hardwood flooring with a U cut out on one end which slips over the ring and another scrap of wood against the motor to create a leverage spot

It does the job but it's not exactly painless.

But with this tool you need the PTO support tool as well... It gets expensive... But for now, I don't have the time... It takes 4 weeks for parts to arrive in South Africa...

Quickly made this tool and it worked perfect... Although I had some issues with the "hat"... But I will discuss this in the following thread:

I also added some rubber to protect the "hat" against scratches and damage
