SVHO Oil Cooler
Hey guys,
New to the site but not really new to skis. Last season I had an oil leak coming from the left side of the ski. Well I have done lots of research and found that it is a defect with the oil cooler. I have found that the original part number seems to be 6ET-13470-00-00 which has now been replaced by Yamaha. I have heard that you can update the oil cooler to the 2017 version which I would really like to do as this goes back to the old style oil cooler.
Here's what I have found. The original 15 part is saying somewhere around $800 which I might end up with the same problem down the road. I have looked up the 2017 part number which seems to be 6BH-13470-30-00 and quite a less expensive for a better system. Can anyone confirm that the 17 oil cooler will work on the 15 and if that is the right part number and includes the entire cooler.
Thanks,
Chris

I believe I have a couple of earlier model oil coolers at my sho if that's the route you decide to go. Just send me a pm if interested, and I can let you know what I have. Keith

So will any 1800cc oil cooler work? And by your guys response the older SHO goes back to the better design. As long as I don't have any cooling issues then I wouldn't mind going with a old style.

No not any oil cooler...You want the SHO oil cooler off the older SHO ski's or the newest one which again is the same as the older SHO ski's oil coolers. Either way you'll be good to go. I went with a truly older one for the discount. Looks like Keith is offering the exact kind of "older" SHO oil cooler I'm talking about....

Here are 2 that I put my hands on in the limited time I had today. I know I have another one somewhere, but would have to locate it. The cooler pictured on the right came off a 60hr 2011 FZR. Actually the hull we're using for our build. It was Josh's who worked for Jerry here at Greenhulk. Pictured is exactly how it came off the ski. Seems he added a cooling kit or something to it from the looks of the additional fittings and lines. I believe it's the Riva kit... http://rivaracing.com/i-17284652-riv...its-pc-11.html ) The cooler on the left MAY be from a NA motor I had purchased for parts, I can't remember exactly.

Just to update everyone. Keith has compared the coolers and everything about them is identical down to the thickness of unit. I will be replacing my cooler with the SHO cooler pictured above and will post pics of the 15 cooler when I get it swapped.
Thanks Keith.

2017 SVHO oil Cooler looks closer to HO Cooler except for extra section then the SHO Cooler
Notice passage ways, It looks like SHO = more oil flow, but less cooling & SVHO + HO = less oil flow but more cooling
