    Timing on 65u motor

Does the 2 stroke 65U motor need the crank to be in a certain spot with the idle gear for it to run properly? Probably a dumb question but i never took notice ripping it out. Read a lot about newer skis needing perfect timing.
    Dont judge

No. There is no idler gear, just the starter bendix. Drop it in and button it up.

Btw, once can use an offset keyway to increase timing. Best results are a 4 degree advancement.
