RE's, TORX, OPAS.. Good or Bad Pro/Con's

Just curious how riders felt on the RE's OPAS units, TORX or even hand made units..

Are they worth the install? Performance good/bad? Were you going for looks or performance?

The ones that have or have them installed, do/did you see an improvement in handling, speed, proposing or not at WOT?

Do you have them on a 2 up or 3 up unit?

    Increase or loss of speed?

You don't see many of them but it seems in the spring, they are a HOT item.. Its either feast or famine on locating them... LOL

    Thanks for you input.

Are you asking if you should remove the OPAS? If so, the answer is yes.

    Redbone:
My stock OPAS has been off for a while.. I had OPAS plates on my ski and was wondering if any riders like the OPAS plates or the OPAS skirt's... They look like it would stream line some.. I get the WOT slight bounce which drives me nuts....
The OPAS plates made it no better, so I am going to try the OPAS skirts (If that is what you call them)... I was just curious what other riders that have them on think.

    Thanks

Alrighty, then. I haven't seen it discussed in quite some time. But the last I remember is that people were removing the OPAS--not installing them. IIRC, they were not very effective for their intended purpose and as an unintended consequence, they had some "drag" which affected top speeds.

That's the first time I've actually seen one! However, I have seen skis with the space there where they used to be. And just a short time ago when I became enamored of this sport is when it seems like everybody was removing them and never until now did I ever hear of anybody who wanted install them.

I had mine deleted, then I added the plates pictured above. I think they were from when Fizzle did a run? I don't remember. They helped with the high speed porpoising on my 08 PX, I would recommend them. Plus, they make the side of the ski look clean.
