    RXP 300 vs 260

I am wondering how much better performance do you get going from the 260 to the 300? I have a stage 1 RXP 260. Is the new 300 a tremendous, knock your socks off gain in performance or is the difference more subtle?

...how fast are you going with a stage 1 260

I am talking overall performance, not just top end. My ski has a few other things done than just the stage 1 kit. I see 71 MPH.

I just realized you were talking about a rxp....never rode one , dont ever care to , doesnt suit my riding style , i sold a 15 rxt 260 to buy a rxt 300...the biggest difference besides the top end speed was the comfort of the ergolock seat...handling to me seems about the same , again , im not a racer , im just a 52 yr old guy who likes to ride fast in all conditions and tow a tube or skier and ride 3 up...the 260 with a scom saw a speedo top speed of 70 , the 300 with just a scom saw 78 on speedo...thats all the comparison i have to offer , hope it helps

Much better performance from mid range to WFO. A px300 will run on average 72.5-74.5 gps depending on fuel load/rider weight at 8040rpm with just a scom.

I went from 2 (260's ) PX and TX (2015's) to both 300's same but were the 300's. My skis were stock other than catch cans and Scoms. Here in Indiana run 78 dash speeds consistently so 75-76mph. I'm with Dino and feel the mid range is the mist noticeable and top end. Would I go back to a 260 ... no !

I do feel the 300's are solid although some have had issues . Most issues were clamp related. The first thing you do when you get the skis is to go through every single clamp and then after you get about five hours go over every single clamp again . Secondly before you ride it verify oil and put on a catch can .

Mine have 30 hours on each no issues !

How is fuel consumption compared to the 260? I came from a N/A 4Tec GTX and fuel consumption sometimes feels like 2x. I knew it would use more but geeze...

At full speed ... dash says 26-28 gallon an hour . Want to go fast it's $$$$.

Average is about 1 hour a tank at moderate speed
Average at slow to Med speeds is 1.5

It's thirsty for sure. Noticeable from my 260....however, the fun-factor far outweighs the gas....at least in my opinion. Also, personally, I believe that the power distribution is better all the way throughout the band....it pulls a lot harder from a dig, and it responds better to the throttle at cruising speed.

My stock 260 tx would beat a stock 300tx from 0-45 but after that it was no contest. Somewhere on here I posted the acceleration graph. 300 has crazy mid range compared to the 260s. I'd still get the 300 it's just way more fun.
