    2007 Speedster 150 215Hp Problem

    Hey Guys

    I got a 2007 Speedster 215 a few months back and resurrected it back from the dead. Spent plenty $s and time as the Speedster is such a sweet boat.

    It ran great for a few months then started to have the following issues;
    Low oil pressure - Bad Regulator
    Overheating - Bad thermostat
    I even changed the head gasket.

    Seems like I got most of the gremlins fixed as it will run 58MPH @ 7900RPM all day, but still one strange problem:
    Whenever I run the boat up to temp and let it sit for more than a few minutes it fires but does not catch itself to run, you also smell unburnt gas from the exhaust. It seems like too rich a mixture to start. If I pull the plugs swing the motor it starts up right away.
    I have pressure tested the intercooler, exhaust manifold, J-pipe and they are not leaking, I also swapped out the injectors and coils, no change.
    It does not hard start on the trailer.

    Any suggestions?

    Could one of the injectors be leaking when the motor is off? Maybe pull them and pressurize the system and see if they dribble?

    Will pull the fuel rail and check the injectors under pressure, I did replace the original injectors with 42s with the same result. If its dribbling do you think the harness has a short? Strange that it runs great otherwise.

    Same but did you put stock injectors back in or left the 42s? 42s will be too rich of an injector to run without any mods. Are you sure the injectors that came with the boat are stock seadoo injectors?

    I was running the 42s when I upgraded to the xcharger. I tried to eliminate the problem by going back to the stock 38s that came with the boat, it gained some rpm but the plugs read lean (white). Even with the stock 38s it had the hard start. Going to swap ECUs next.
