    Sho conversion

    I'm putting a sho engine in the older fxho160 hull is there any threads on it to help me asking the way I've search but cannot see anything

    Here's my project ski. Just put my own ski up for sale to fund to buy the doner sho going to buy full working ski once I've sold the parts I don't need from both skis I'm hoping I won't have put much extra cash into it

    No problem with blow by on that engine
    Plenty of room for the block to breath

    That's the new dry sump oil conversion. All you have to do is ride it about 10 minutes to get a dry sump.

    Should be same as the gpr sho conversion. Lots build threads on those. Take entire pump assembly from sho and put it in your fx160 hull. Keep pump spacer from the fx ho. Transfer over mid bearing with midshaft and coupler from sho to fx160 hull. Remove any rubber mounts in middle of hull, cut clearance hole in stringer on right side for intake tube, and clearance hole on left side near gas tank for oil pump clearance. Transfer over all electronics. Might get lucky and your cluster may work. Will have to mount aps sensor in hull somewhere and run your throttle cable to it. Prety much straight forward as any yamaha conversion with yamaha engine.
