Thread: GPR HO (1052cc)

    GPR HO (1052cc)

    2003 1300r hull with 2006 FXHO setup.
Completed this conversion earlier this week. First test run today it ran 66mph at 9700rpm.
Running a Solas 14/20 I twitched to 15/21. Looks like I need to go back to 19 or 20 on the trailing.
Very loud on the intake. This thing tried to buck me off twice after I left off the throttle from WOT. No experienced this before and almost broke my wrist trying to hold on. Need to get rid of the stock intake grate. Which is preferred the 800 or 1200 Aftermarket.
Should be couple more mph in it once the rpm is dialled inClick image for larger version.

Is that about where the 1052 revs are at normally? What plate are you using ? Yeah get a 800 or 1200 grate in it

Just get a riva 1200 there cheap. Don't think you'll reach the speeds of needing anything crazy

That is what I thought but it definitely happened twice. Barely held on the timesame. Pump is sealed . Steering nozzle was slightly off alignment and needs adjusting

Yah I edited that lol. Maybe that stock grate is causing issues?? I haven't run anything other then a stock ski with the stock grate lol. Tuningfork does have a good deal on an 800 grate.

14/19 seemed to be happy spot on an fx ho. The 14/20 killed the rpm's. And certainly get a good grate on there and maybe the pressure relieve valves in the spacer should help the over stuff.
