    750 sxi w/ proks - jetting help

Picked up a 95 750 SXI that is bone stock but previous owner installed Prok's on the carbs. Carbs are Keihin twin carbs. Ski wont run well at all. I know he never touched the carbs so it probably needs a jet kit but no clue on what jets I need. HELP

It probably needs to have the fuel filters cleaned/replaced, or carb kits. I doubt that the flame arrestors on the 750 would make it run that badly. I used to run my 750s without flame arrestors while troubleshooting and tuning.

The CV carbs are another story, but the flame arrestor isn't as critical on the older carbs.

Yea I am about to rebuild them both, new lines and clean tank. I know on sea doos though adding proks you need to re-jet to make it richer.

If it was me, I would bump it up a couple sizes on both to play it safe.
On my SS, just changing from the restrictive silencer to later model lid with just a short boot, made the ski want 78 low (75 stk) and left the high at 155. After I put the westcoast arrestor on, I bumped the main to 160 (I think it was, may have been 163). Either way, it was happier then.

If you rebuild the carbs do not replace the original springs. Replacement of the springs has been the source of many tuning problems. Putting on open mesh flame arrestors changes the signal and would require pop off adjustment. You can try putting on a stock flame arrestor and see if it helps the issue.
