    Oem 260 headgasket or new 300 ?

    I'm changing my head soon and was wondering what the general consensus was as far as using the ACE 300 headgasket on a 260/215 block? I know the cooling holes are different on each , has anyone used it and is there any issues ?

    get the 300, i use them on anything non stock, built in o-ring and if your fussy carefully put the holes in it, bugger of a job if you have a block guard for 260. but with the holes another well known shop here just bolts them down without drilling

    I am running a 300 gasket on a 260 rebuild, no issues. I am using ARP bolts.

    Do you have pictures of the 300 vs 260 gasket ?

    Not both side by side but here's one I did on the last turbo build with a pressed in block guard. I drilled the holes or there wouldn't be any flow.

    Awesome thank you very much ! I'll order the 300 gasket and try it out on my new build . Going to do a 260 with a 300 charger and 142mm wheel .

    In the lower right hand side there's material removed in the block . Why ?
