Looks like oil residue in my supercharger 2006 RXP

Just doing my supercharger rebuild on my 2006 RXP and when I pulled it apart I noticed that it looks like it has oil residue on the inside.

Anyone have a idea what may be happening here? Any other symptoms to look for? I am also doing a valve job.

Do you have a catch can?

Could just be leaky oil seal which gets replaced during a rebuild, it's under the wheel.

Or just blow by if you don't have a catch can.

I do not have a catch can. Sounds like this may be blow by. My intake hose is also coated with residue. Could the crankcase vent be malfunctioning?

No, its just part of the system. It scavenges the crank fumes, which contain oil, and recirculates them to "burn" them again. Problem is that it just screws everything else up.

Your car is set up the same way.

The solution is a catch can. Really should put one on before you ever ride it.

Wonder why my other RXP did not have this issue. Its the same year and its also stock. I am thinking since I just purchased it, I am going to rebuild the supercharger and see what happens. If I have a issue I will put on that catch can. Thank you all for your responses.
