    BS or truth?

Local dealership claims to be able to "tune to 81 mph" for $350 on 2016 RXPX 300. I found Riva stage 2 at 81 mph for $1600 for parts only, no install (and that's before taxes)

    BS.

Just keep in mind, that a lot of factors go into going fast. Weather/temperatures play a huge part as well as rider weight. Even within the same day you could vary 300 RPM because of the heat.

Us turbo guys have a bit of advantage as we can crank up the boost to maintain performance at an obvious cost of working the engine harder...but you see what I'm saying

I understand that very well as I have been repairing PWC for 30+ years and performance mods since early 90's. Just curious if I was missing something. I have done the limiter mod and seen low to mid 70's with no other modification. ; this claim just seems like an outright lie.

SCOM on 300 will give high 70s on the gauges no? They must be referring to SCOM but that 81 number is a little inflated

Have them put it in writing. Prove it / disprove it with GPS. No 81, full refund.

Seems believable , you scom guys make what 77-78 dash ? You don't think a semi aggressive reflash can pull 81 dash light on fuel in perfect conditions ......

My Tx300 did 81 (125 pound rider) with the Riva Stock Class Tune. So there probably just taking the riva tune and installing it on the ski for you. Dealer only has to buy a license at a discounted rate, program the ski in 5 minutes and make $100. Plus they get to say hey your skis not stock no warranty.

Might have been called pro stock in the directory and its alot more aggressive feeling then any of the stage 1 or 2 tunes available.

What exactly are these different "stage tunes"? Fuel has to be good on all tunes so is higher timing all that they change?
