- trailer brake controller for larger trailers that have electronic brakes (i.e. hydraulic brakes that are electric assist)

- all depends on the maintenance that was done before you buy it. the vehicle is only as good as its last owner took care of it. it may be a great deal but it may cost you more in the long run to fix things if maintenance wasn't done at the proper intervals.

I have a friend with with a 2014 RAM EcoDiesel (3.0L V6) with over 270,000 miles on it with NO problems. He delivers campers for a living so nearly half of his miles are pulling a trailer of some sort.
EDIT: He is now over 341,000 miles. But he did have a problem. He had a lubricant leak from the turbo. He knew about it but didn't do anything about it. So the truck had a small fire. Just enough to require a new wiring harness to go along with the new turbo. There wasn't even any paint damage.Last edited by DrivingZiggy; 09-15-2017 at 02:58 PM.

Age is more detrimental then miles, at least here in Canada where they over salt the roads. They usually rot out before the motors and trannys give up.
