Just make sure you use OEM bearings and seals when you do it. When you put it all back together use 50/50 mix of grease and lower unit oil for outboards. It will keep the bearings lubed up way better then grease alone. How to section has this as a sticky somewhere.

    01 GPR pump rebuild

I used the WSM kit, appeared to be of good quality. I used klotz jetpump oil instead of grease. Just make sure you get the seals in the correct way.

Update, i got the pump all apart to rebuild. Just waiting for the parts to show up from carl at Island.
Question can you powder coat the pump parts and ride place with out having negtive effects on the speed and handling?

also how does this wear ring housing come off i have it unbolted but there is no good place to pry on it like the other parts have. one more thing how does this wear ring look ?

    01 GPR pump rebuild

If that's the oem wearing, you have to have it bored out. I've had good success cleaning it up, using some jbweld and honing (sanding) it perfect.

As to powder coating, just don't powdercoat the inside of the pump where the bearings fit. Lots of people do it. It does start to chip/flake after a while.

Painting is also an option if you use the mariner marine engine paint and properly etch the surfaces.

I use engine enamel on some of my parts and haven't had any issues
