    Yamaha gp800 Carb disassembly

    Hello,

Newbie here, I have removed both carbs from motor to rebuild them. So now right I have both carbs connected side by side to a plate. And I can not for the life of me figure out how to get them off that plate so that I can start rebuilding them. It's probably something super obvious but it's been a long day hah. Could someone please help? Thanks!

there's a giant hex bolt four of em that holds the carbs to the baseplate.

long day?..no time to be starting this job.

Yeah i've already removed those 4 and the 2 Allen heads. The carbs themselves are off the motor right now. But they are both still on plate side by side. I don't see how in the world they are attached to it

if you got the 2 allen on the back inside of the plate have you tried tapping them with a mallet. May just be corrosion set in

Before you get too much further, you might think about a repair manual....
