Stock Rods v Molnar v Carillo
Just doing a rebuild and wondered what peoples thoughts are on what rods I should run? I am going with CP pistons.
This is what I was running before it broke a stock piston.
2013 RXP260X
V-tech reflash 9300 rpm limit. 36 degree. 1000cc Injectors
Prop Speed 8900 rpm
3 blade Prop
68-140SC
Big Cam and Springs/Retainers
Aftermarket Intercooler and Hard Pipes
Looking forward to hearing peoples thoughts. I've got Carillo's in my Turbo motor, but just wondering whether I need to go to that expense again.

Carrillo rods are very good and I've used them lots with no problems . The stock rods can take 400hp no problem after that the bolts will need replacing for peace of mind ( to arp ) . How did you break a piston ? Did it melt ?

I'm doing the 300 charger with the 142mm wheel so might as well pull motor and drop in a set of pistons .

Yes I've seen that damage to the pistons lots and 99% the pto / flywheel side piston .
I've got the same mods "68-140" on stock rods and they work well ... What power does a 68-140 ski make ? You will get peace of mind installing h beam rods and both cp and molnar rods are good . Price of a block vs conrods ... but as I said I've had great results with the stock rods .

I see a problem on piston 2 and 3 ... looks like you are hitting the valves look at the pockets there are additional indentation in the pockets . What cam are you using ? Lots more lift ? What springs and retainers ?
