    RXTX 300 Best Intake Grate

So I owned a 2010 TX and tried all the different intake grates. The R&D definitely was best top speed with good hook-up but pulled to one side. Riva grate tracked straight but was a little slower on top.

My 2017 TX definitely handles better in stock form compared to 2010 TX. Both are S3 hulls but Sea Doo has clearly made some changes. All that said I do not see threads about speed gains etc with different intake grates on late model S3.

Anyone have results testing different Intake grates on 300 TX ?

    You have 3 options:
    worx
    riva
    r&d

I opted for the r&d for my GTX 300. I have 85 hours and have installed only a scom and a catch can.
My mate has the same set up but uses the oem intake grate.
I will go up to 126km whereas he will reach 128km.
But i like the hookup of the r&d. Miles ahead of the oem. And it goes straight like the oem...no issues.

The riva unit does not provide such a good hookup. Mind you we use our skis in the ocean.

So you are saying stock grate has higher top speed but r&d has better hook up ?

If this is the case it is interesting as on a 2010 S3 hull the r&d grate had better hook-up and top speed compared to stock grate.

    Yes this is certain.
You loose 1.5 mile but you gain a lot better hookup.
In the 300 series although we have the same s3 hull there are some major differences in the weight distribution and how the jet handles.

So to sum it up, for top speed stick with the oem. For hookup go with the r&d.
For a solution somewhere in the middle go for the riva.

    RXTX 300 Best Intake Grate

The prop your using makes a difference as well. It's a tricky game when it comes to prop/grate working together.

I tried Riva stock and r&d grates with the stock, solas 13/18 3 blade and solas 161mm 4blade and got different result for each grate.

R&d result with two different prop did a complete 180*. It's a balancing act when it comes to speed.

Both Riva and r&d increased hook up though if that's what your after.
