I can tell you it's water proof and UV protected.

I agree with you all on the oem covers as I've had one on my ski for 9 years now and treat it every year with the 303 fabric guard. Breathable may be important in season while the ski is in use, but I wish someone made one that is entirely waterproof for those of use who have to store our skis outside for the winter. I also have a boat and my Overtons boat cover is entirely waterproof and vented with one of those pole supports with the vent cap cut into the cover. If they made a pwc cover in the same fabric, I'd buy that for off-season use.

I'd stay away from Empire/Budge covers. They are not waterproof as advertised, and mine lasted barely 2 years before it was faded, ripping an generally falling apart.

    quoted post above. (K447)

my sealskin cover is on an 02 gp800r it fits like a glove and is totally waterproof. the ski sets outside all year. the cover was put on in Sept/Oct time frame. it has seen a lot of rain and wind over the last few months and there is no water under it in foot wells. water beads up and runs off nicely. prices are very reasonable as well for what you get.
again this cover is twice the fabric density of any other I found.
I also have an old factory cover that I liked but the vents at the back had fallen off and it was never very water proof without coating it with something.

The OEM cover with a treatment with 303 Marine Fabric Protector will work wonders. The water will bead off. I use this on my massive pontoon cover. It requires annual re-treatment depending how harsh the conditions. Prevents fade too.
