Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure I've read here a few times that BOV were not to be used on 300's. Or is this something different?

I personally would not run one, but some people like to use them.

unbelievable Riva is still peddling a BOV for SeaDoo's. I got suckered into that years ago. At least I was able to use it for my turbo setup so it wasn't a total loss.

Fizzle is the same size as stock...has thicker cooling lanes and a few less air lanes. It should be plenty good as long as you route the water straight out. The real restriction is the water flow. The fizzle is just super beefy...no worries exploding it. That riva looks huge...I'm curious to see how that will even fit without tearing up the foam mounting location.
