    Waveblaster 62t rev limiter 10% throttle

    hi hi guys a have a 96 blaster 1 in excellent condition still had factory premix, I'm having a problem with over revving I hit the throttle 10% it's like it's hitting the rev limiter.     Sounds like a crankcase air leak or a circuit in the carb is clogged.

    Either way, I would pull intake manifold and use new OEM gaskets (manifold, reed and carb base gaskets) and fully disassemble carbs to inspect. When taking carbs apart, go very slowly and inspect every step as you take them apart.

    If you are lazy, put your hand over each carb while its running and see if it improves. Don't completely choke it down... Also try turning out the low and high speed screws (just note where they are now).

    Ski is defiently in limp mode I have disconnected the temp sensor with no luck, I have ordered a new cdi, hopefully this will fix it if not I will tear the carbs down

    Check voltage at the battery while doing the revs. Could be a faulty voltage regulator.

    All fixed guys the cdi was the problem swapped with a working one and it has done the job
    Thanks for everyone's input

    I just picked up a blaster and it is doing the exact same thing and my buddy is bringing me a cdi to try on Sunday hopefully it's same same repair as yours
