Correct. The O-ring supply companies don't seem to have them, but I've only check a couple.

try this. it is very close to what you measured. buna will last for years in fuel use. ethanol will harden them.

Either way I would encourage you to find an ethanol-free gas station. I have 3 local eth-free stations. Maverik even has a 88 octane for 2.65 a gallon. Buy 5 gallons of 100 unleaded and mix it
    88 Octane Gallons
3.75 Use this amount in your mixed fuel
    100 Octane Gallons
1.25 Use this amount in your mixed fuel

    Ta da!

That part# is for a backup ring. I wasn't able to find an O-ring the right size in McMaster.

I may order some of approximate size and experiment.

Where I live, there is no ethanol-free fuel except at the airport. The problem with that is that our lake is 100 miles away, and there is no ethanol-free fuel there, either.

I may experiment with something like a 1/16" thickness x 1/4" ID in a 60 durometer. It will be a little softer and stretchier and may fit into the groove better. I want to experiment more before I throw a bunch of money at this.

I've only lived in Texas for 1 1/2 yrs and I've learned that ethanol free gas is like unobtainium here in the Lone Star State .

I've found a source for O-rings made in fractional metric sizes. They have some that are within a few thousandths, so they should be OK. I've sent an email requesting a quote for Viton O-rings. If they will sell small quantities, problem solved. I'll keep you updated.

Good news! I emailed the supplier again and they finally got back to me. They can provide the O-rings in Viton for about $0.11 each. I'll mark them up just a little to cover postage and an envelope, but they're still dirt cheap compared to OEM. They should hold up a lot better. Each engine requires 19 (16 for fuel rails, one for each float valve seat). I'm thinking of about $3 for 20 O-rings (in case you lose one).

I haven't ordered them yet, so it may be just a little more to cover shipping to me. Does that sound like a plan? Kawasaki charges over $2 each!
