    Riva gen 3 shaft failure

    Hey guys,
just had my riva gen 3 shaft snap and mess up my et19 wheel and charger.
Thinking of trying the R&d shaft this time if anyone has any feedback.
i assume I can run the riva one peice bearing and extra oil feed?
also as I need a new charger wheel has anyone had any experience with how the R&d svho c5 18psi compares to the riva f2 (et19)
    thanks in advance.

If you use the R&D shaft you can NOT use the Riva extra oil feed line on it. You must put the oem back cover plate back on the charger. You cah how ever use the one piece bushing. Tommy Jordan

Damn that is a chatistrophic failure! How long ago did you buy the Gen 3 shaft?

Try contacting Riva, they may be interested in the failure.

Joel, sorry to see that happened. Please make sure your front housing has not moved causing this failure. More information here

As far as a replacement impeller, definitely go with the F2. I will hook you up with a nice discount on the parts you need to help you out.

Jerry and the guys at Riva exemplify outstanding customer service - great job guys!

Also, torquing the bolts to spec is critical and requires a special torque driver - see: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

What did you torque it to?

    What loctite did you use.

Jerry cannot be more right.. check that front housing and before you slap everything back together pin the front housing.

i had a gen 3 and something happened in the rear housing where the bearing sits allowing the shaft to move forward hitting the et18 on the front cover. Looks the same as yours but mine didnt snap.
